with a final drive of 4.389 in the 02-04 type s trannys, on the high way cruising at say 80 mph would i be in a higher rpm as a final drive of 4.764?
this is going into my k24a2 in a 99 civic. i don't want to be that high in rpms so which tranny would be best |

thank you thank you
so.. 02-04 type s trans will have a little bit longer gears than the most other trans.. which is basically what i was looking for probably be looking for one and maybe throw an lsd in the future.. i think this will go good with a k24a2 Last edited by lolipop; 03-15-2010 at 05:01 AM. |

Have a k24a3 with 05 RSX-S trans (4.7 final drive) at 75 mph its 3500 rpm roughly. With a 02 Civic SI transmission with a Accord 5th gear at 75 mph rpm closer to 2800 roughly. Six speed vs 5 speed. I drive 150 miles daily to work and back and with the 05 RSX-s trans I get 34 mpg. Get about 32 with the EP transmission, but it is also in a EP chassis, which is heavy.
